We believe that marriage is a gift from God. It is given that a man will be united in heart, body and mind with his wife as Christ is united with his bride, the Church. We believe that marriage is given as the foundation of family life in which children are born and nurtured. It enriches society and strengthens our communities. At St Thomas’, we are delighted when people wish to make this commitment to each other before God and would be delighted to host your special day.

With its beautiful Victorian building and intimate surroundings, St Thomas’ is an excellent wedding venue. Several couples are normally married at St Thomas’ each year.

Because we believe marriage is so important, we want to do everything we can to support you as you prepare for your wedding day and your marriage. We ask couples who marry at St Thomas’ to take part in a tailored preparation course to think through the commitments of Christian marriage and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
